A bit about me

While I was always interested in research and applying my Psychology knowledge into business-applied areas, my first ever role was as Psychologist performing psychological testing for the railway personnel, such as conductors, mechanics and so on. It was an interesting start to my career that allowed me to discover what I actually enjoy doing and how I want to apply my skills to make the most of education. Suffice to say, my design career trajectory has been less than conventional.

Since then, I acquired valuable skills and knowledge in market research, UX research and finally, UX design. During my time as a Quantitative Researcher, I worked with clients in all industries - from tourism to pharma and IT. I specialized in advanced data analysis and, during this time, I also finished my PhD in Statistics. Being able to explore topics of interest and doing independent research under the guidance and supervision of prominent professionals was an exciting opportunity.

Diving into UX research and applying both quantitative and qualitative research methods taught me the value of integrating data-driven processes in business decisions. I worked with UX Researchers and Product Managers from Meta, conducting user interviews and usability tests with Facebook and Instagram users from around the globe (as an external consultant with Global App Testing). It was an exciting exploration into the world of UX, that allowed me to discover my passion for design.

Participating in a UX Design Bootcamp with Romania’s Informal School of broadened my horizon both as an aspiring UX Designer, as well as, personally. I met wonderful people in the field that have extended resources and incredible guidance, as someone trying to get their first job in design.

Since 2019, I’ve been working as a UX Designer, delving into interface solutions to complex problems, mostly in the B2B arena, but also B2C. I enjoy designing flows, making sense of complicated information architectures and simplifying digital experiences for users.
